GU Courses

Growing University Courses are a structured discipleship program that brings collegiate-level, biblical, and theological training to the local church. Its courses are designed to deepen understanding of Scripture while fostering personal growth and gospel-centered living.​​

The First Diamond

The First Diamond is where the journey begins. These four foundational courses introduce the heart of Growing University by helping participants understand the gospel, grow in spiritual maturity, discover their place in the church, and embrace their mission in the world. Through these core classes, you will build a strong foundation for a life of faithful discipleship, meaningful service, and confident witness. This first diamond is designed to help you take the next step in following Christ and living out your faith with purpose.

The Second Diamond

The Second Diamond builds on the foundation by strengthening your understanding of God’s Word and the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. These four courses guide participants through the big picture of Scripture and provide tools for thinking clearly and interpreting the Bible faithfully. Through Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Systematic Theology I, and Introduction to Hermeneutics, you will gain a deeper grasp of the storyline of the Bible, the core truths of Christian doctrine, and the principles for rightly understanding and applying Scripture. This second diamond is designed to help you grow in biblical knowledge and confidence as a student of God’s Word.

The Third Diamond

The Third Diamond moves from foundations into deeper study, equipping participants to engage Scripture and doctrine with greater depth and clarity. These four courses guide you through key books of the Bible while continuing to strengthen your theological understanding and ability to defend the Christian faith. Through Genesis, The Gospel According to John, Systematic Theology II, and Introduction to Apologetics, you will explore the grand themes of Scripture, deepen your grasp of Christian doctrine, and learn how to give thoughtful answers for the hope you have in Christ. This third diamond is designed to help you grow in both conviction and confidence as you study, explain, and defend the truths of the Christian faith.

The Fourth Diamond

The Fourth Diamond represents the culmination of the Growing University journey, bringing together biblical understanding, theological depth, and a clear vision for God’s purposes in the world. These four courses lead participants into focused study of key sections of Scripture while exploring the mission of the church and the future hope promised in God’s Word. Through The Poetical Books, The Pauline Epistles, Missiology, and Eschatology, you will deepen your understanding of Scripture’s wisdom, the theological richness of the New Testament letters, the global mission of the church, and the promises of Christ’s return. This final diamond is designed to equip you to live with wisdom, serve with purpose, and look forward with hope as you continue growing in Christ.
