Dr. Chris Dortch

Dr. Chris Dortch is the founding and Lead Pastor of Grace Point Church in Mooresville, North Carolina, and also serves as the President of Growing University.  Since 1993, he has served in vocational ministry as a Student Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Lead Pastor.  In 2018, he taught New Testament Survey for the Bluegrass Baptist Seminary in Brazil.

Dr. Dortch graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from Liberty University and earned both his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degrees from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with highest distinction. He is the author of more than thirty books, including expositional studies, theological handbooks, and discipleship resources designed to support biblical literacy and spiritual formation.  He is also the host of the Growing University podcast available on iTunes.

He affirms the Baptist Faith & Message (2000) of the Southern Baptist Convention and is committed to the authority of Scripture, Christ-centered theology, and equipping the church for faithful discipleship.
